Online Teacher Training: “Building Massive Open Online Courses: From Idea to Implementation”
Training Overview
This professional development opportunity is designed to build capacity among teaching staff at Moldovan higher education institutions for creating high-quality online courses. The training will cover both theoretical foundations and practical strategies for MOOC development.
- Target audience: teaching staff at Moldovan HEIs (Instructional designers and educational technologists are also welcome)

This training is offered as part of the project “Connecting Estonia and Moldova for European Readiness and Innovative Education (CONNECT4MORE),” supported by ESTDEV – Estonian Center for International Development Cooperation (Project Agreement No. 4-1/14-2025-1).
The project is implemented by Tartu University in cooperation with Moldova State University.

Instructor

Anna Beitane is a Head of Digital Education Projects at the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies, University of Tartu (Estonia). Her primary responsibilities include developing and implementing online and blended courses (including MOOCs), and coordination of continuing education programs at the institute. She also specializes in teacher training, emphasizing innovative teaching methods and online didactics, and oversees study-related projects centered on online learning and digital competences.
Anna has authored several multi-disciplinary MOOCs and has been recognized with the HISTA e-course quality mark label in 2017, 2020, 2022, and 2023. She won the award for the e-course of the year 2022 in Estonia and was nominated again in 2023. The MOOCs she has worked on have attracted more than 6,000 participants from over 100 countries worldwide. More information on ESTIS is available here.
