Senate

The Senate is the supreme governing body of the Moldova State University. The members of the Senate are elected by direct and secret vote: a) from and by the academic and nonacademic staff of the university; b) from and by students of the university; c) from and by representatives of the university trade union, in accordance with the Regulations of the Senate of the Moldova State University. The number of members of the Senate may not exceed 101 members, the students being represented in the Senate in a proportion of 1/4 of the total number of members. The rector, the rectors and deans are ex officio members of the Senate.

The term of office of the Senate is 5 years, being synchronized with the term of office of the rector. The term of office of the members of the Senate among the students is one year, with the possibility of renewing the mandate
